Welding robots work at the pace of the line. Their wear parts are changed at short intervals, and one missing part can stop a whole station.

Spot welding and gas metal arc welding

In resistance spot welding, the copper alloy electrode caps wear. They are regularly redressed with a tip dresser and replaced after a certain number of dressings. Cap shape and diameter are standardised, for example to ISO 5821.

In gas metal arc welding, contact tips, gas nozzles, tip holders, wire feed rolls and the wire liner in the hose package wear. For the replacement, wire diameter, thread and length of the contact tip and the torch type matter.

What a request for welding wear parts should contain
