A painting line protects steel against corrosion – from rolled sections at the stockholder to finished assemblies in steel construction. On request, Traydon sources lines, booths and spare parts for coating sections, plates, assemblies and pipes.
This page shows the types of equipment named on Traydon’s previous website and the details we need for a request.

Types of equipment
Preservation lines (pre-fabrication)
Continuous lines for steel stockholders and section processing: sections, beams and plates are blasted, primed and dried before further processing.
Top coating (post-fabrication)
Systems for steel construction: finished assemblies receive their top coat after welding.
External pipe coating
Coating systems that paint or preserve pipes externally in a continuous process.
Internal pipe coating
Systems with lances or nozzles that coat the inner surface of pipes.
Paint booths and manual workstations
Painting areas with supply and exhaust air, paint booths and combined booths for painting and drying in one place.
Grinding booths
Extracted workstations for grinding and preparing surfaces.
Examples from our archive

Coating line
Continuous line with roller conveyors before and after the paint booth.

Beam on the roller conveyor
Painted steel beam behind the coating line.

Angle sections
Preserved angle sections on the conveyor.

Sections in line
Sections leave the line and cool down.
Which details help
- Workpieces: type, largest and smallest dimensions, unit weight
- Required throughput (tonnes or pieces per shift)
- Paint system: water- or solvent-based, film thickness, number of coats
- Pre-treatment: existing blast machine or to be included
- Floor space, energy and exhaust air routing
- For spare parts: nameplate of the system and part designation
What we do not promise across the board
Whether a specific version can be sourced is clarified per request. We do not promise planning across the board. Installation and commissioning of the machines and systems we supply are available on request. Performance figures are only given with manufacturer data. Deliveries abroad are subject to export control and sanctions checks.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between preservation and top coating?
Preservation (pre-fabrication) applies a thin shop primer before processing that does not interfere with welding. Top coating (post-fabrication) follows after fabrication and forms the final corrosion protection.
Does Traydon also source spare parts for existing coating systems?
Yes, on request. Send the nameplate, the part designation and, if possible, a photo.
Which manufacturers are possible?
Our partners include inTEC Lackiersysteme and GTV Blast. We clarify the suitable source based on your request.
